The Life of a Doomed Creation

As human children congregate to Winter’s delight
To mimic creation, copy 6th day
Children play God, oh what a sight
With good intentions start, but soon go astray

No precedent can be used to compare to this deed
Manipulation of life, used for foul or for fair
Forming of snow, distortion of egg and seed
Intervening with nature leads only to despair

Doomed forever to fail, based on creation
Distorted by man but of nature's perspiring
Built with false laughter, and scientific admiration
Built in man’s own image, but its soul is still missing

Night turns to day, and day turns to night
Unvarying expression is etched in his face
Invisible in darkness, and despises the light
A substitution for life, that’s put in life’s place

On February 2nd, as shadow is seen
His life is prolonged, avoiding the strife
As days turn to weeks, his body turns lean
The inferno is coming, to end his sad life

The sun comes out, and winter is gone
His remnants are scattered, all over my lawn
